Launch of Insolvency Practitioner Complaints Gateway

06 Jun 13

The insolvency complaints gateway was launched on 5th June 2013.

It will be run by the Insolvency Service and will be a single entry point for all complaints made about insolvency practitioners. If the gateway staff consider the complaint merits further consideration it will be referred to the authorising body of the IP.

In a joint statement the 8 regulators said: "The Complaints Gateway is an example of what can be achieved by the regulators and government working together. This is part of a concerted effort by the profession to enhance public confidence in insolvency regulation, and it will provide a unique opportunity to learn from the data collected by the gateway and inform our approach to regulation accordingly."
